Parents used to dread it being on as it would mean at least 3 hours of me whining about us not having a dog.

Shit how could I forget Monkey. BBC2 at 6pm I think that was.

Think we were luckier as kids 30 years ago than they are now. Proper good TV without there being the need to be too much violence and so most programmes could be watched.
